Six collaboration channels, each anchored to a square marker on the rail. Every channel ends with what is written down.
Statement of method
Engagement shapes vary because organisations arrive at different moments. Some need a fortnight of concentrated positioning work. Others need a steward who holds voice standards across a growing content programme. We describe six channels below — not packages with fixed scopes, but shapes of collaboration that we adapt to your situation after an initial conversation.
Every channel produces written deliverables. We do not leave you with slides alone. The vault is built from documents your team can reference, revise and hand to partners without our continued presence.

Positioning sprints
Intensive fortnights focused on a single positioning question. The sprint opens with a reading of existing materials and a stakeholder interview. Mid-sprint, we present a provisional framework for challenge. The sprint closes with a written positioning document and an internal presentation deck.
Sprints suit organisations facing a market shift, a new competitive entrant, or a leadership change that demands refreshed messaging. The compressed timeline forces decisions that open-ended projects sometimes defer.
What is written down: positioning statement, competitive map, proof architecture, audience notes
Editorial retainers
Ongoing stewardship of voice, tone and editorial standards across your content programme. We attend monthly review sessions, mark copy that drifts from approved guidelines, and update the editorial programme as business priorities shift.
Retainers work best when an internal content team exists but lacks a senior editorial voice. We become that voice — not writing everything ourselves, but ensuring everything written meets the standard set in the brand system.
What is written down: voice guide updates, editorial calendar, channel briefs, drift reports
Brand system documentation
Comprehensive catalogues of visual and verbal identity rules, structured for internal teams and external partners. Documentation projects typically follow a positioning or narrative engagement, codifying decisions already made into a reference system.
We organise documentation by use case rather than by asset type. A designer looking for logo rules and a copywriter looking for voice guidance both find what they need without wading through irrelevant sections.
What is written down: brand book, message hierarchy, usage rules, partner guidelines
Narrative workshops
Half-day sessions where leadership teams work through the brand narrative together. We facilitate, ask uncomfortable questions, and capture decisions in real time. Workshops are not brainstorming exercises — they are structured reviews of draft narrative documents prepared beforehand.
Participants leave with a revised narrative arc and a shared vocabulary for discussing the organisation's story. Follow-up documentation consolidates the session output into a final narrative document within one week.
What is written down: narrative document, session notes, agreed vocabulary list
Voice audits
Systematic review of existing copy across channels — website, social, sales materials, internal communications. We mark patterns, identify drift, and propose a voice guide grounded in what your organisation already does well.
Audits reveal surprises. Teams often discover they have three distinct voices operating in parallel, each defended by a different department. The audit names these voices, evaluates them against positioning, and recommends which to keep, merge or retire.
What is written down: audit report, annotated samples, voice guide draft
Transition programmes
Brand work for mergers, acquisitions, rebrandings and leadership transitions. These programmes address the specific challenge of messaging continuity when the organisation itself is changing shape.
We map which messages survive the transition, which must be retired, and which new messages the combined entity needs. Transition work requires diplomatic facilitation — two cultures merging rarely agree on voice without structured mediation.
What is written down: transition messaging plan, merged narrative, phased rollout schedule
Choosing a channel begins with a conversation. We ask about your timeline, internal capacity, and the specific problem that prompted the enquiry. Most engagements combine elements from two or more channels — a positioning sprint followed by system documentation, or a voice audit leading into an editorial retainer.
Reach the studio via Latch to begin that conversation. We respond within two working days during studio hours.
